Hello, I have a pair of Cisco C9500-48Y4C connected to each other via a Stackwise virtual link.
The switch is running Version 17.6.5 .
Is there any way to reduce to wait time at boot up. Sometimes we only bring up one but it waits nearly 10 min for it's partner before it continues to boot on it own.. Also is there any other way to reduce the normal boot time ? thxs

9500 in VSS takes 5 minutes to boot up.

When device reload it check all the boot checks and come online - there is no need to hurry and reduce the times practically. (what advantage you have here ?).
If the Switches are in SVL - all device connected to SVL Switches - we expect to be dual homed for high availability.

For a power-on or reload boot?
If the latter, possibly those devices support the warm reload, which might cut down your boot time.

Thanks for the replies , this is for a specific type of network (similar to a LAB ) that can get rebooted sometimes many times a day. Boot times are fairly important so anywhere we can shave time off is a bonus..

since its lab, but N times reboot - you should have statistics how long each one take (that is best you can experience it).
Some of the boot process can not be decreased as i mentioned above. the boot process to test all the components before it load the software unlike any other devices (yes you an avoide small, but not major time of the POST).
