9606 HTTPs destination transport

Hi,

I am getting below (destination transport-method http) in my cli config. What is the purpose of this? My customer asking to remove this as its transport http. Can this be changed to https

no ip http server
ip http authentication local
ip http secure-server
destination transport-method http

Also service call home recommended to keep if no email alert is being deployed?

Hello,

that line indeed is part of the call home feature. If you don't need or want it, disable the entire call home service (you obviously won't receive any notification of critical system events).

I think after reboot, it will automatically be enabled again. Also, as far as I recall, at some point Cisco wants to make it mandatory to have this service running...
