A new access point is replaced and dhcp is leased from firewall . But the access point gets the mac as name in cdp neighbors, what behavior is this ?

Maybe because the new AP does not have a hostname. Try to give it a host name and then run the command again.

HI @Reza Sharifi now i am seeing it got the right host name from controller , but for some period of time it shows the mac address as host name , did not understand what behavior is this
