I recently added a 4th switch to our corporate office VoIP stack.
Switch Ports Model SW Version SW Image
------ ----- ----- ---------- ----------
1 52 WS-C3750-48P 12.2(53)SE C3750-IPSERVICESK9-M
2 52 WS-C3750-48P 12.2(53)SE C3750-IPSERVICESK9-M
* 3 52 WS-C3750-48P 12.2(53)SE C3750-IPSERVICESK9-M
4 30 WS-C3750X-24P 12.2(53)SE2 C3750E-UNIVERSALK9-M
Switch 4 is the new one. I did downgrade the SW on the new switch from 12.2(55)SE3 to 12.2(53)SE2 because I could do that easier than upgrading the stack. (I will admit I took the cowards route, downgrading the new switch instead of upgrading the existing, working stack.)
The switch added to the stack:
Switch/Stack Mac Address : 001d.a20a.8280
H/W Current
Switch# Role Mac Address Priority Version State
----------------------------------------------------------
1 Member 001d.a209.6200 1 0 Ready

*3 Master 001d.a20a.8280 3 0 Ready
4 Member 0007.7dfa.5980 1 1 Ready
But the ports are not looking right:

I have not tried rebooting the whole stack yet because it has the corporate sales/HQ phone system running through it. (Yes, I'm ultra-conservative.)
Any ideas? Should I just suck it up and boot the stack?
Thanks,
Jason

Switch number 4 is running 12.2(53)SE2 and all the other once are running 12.2(53)SE.
Can you downgrade switch 4 to SE and than try again?

The IOS on the new switch does not match the others and it needs to.
12.2(53)SE doesn't seem to exist for the X series so I would look at upgrading the others to 12.2(53)SE2 if I were you.
Thanks

Thanks. I'm off to see if the SmartNET on the 3750's is linked to my account...which is an entirely different adventure.

It took me a while to get to it, but I finally upgraded the stack and all the ports are good to go. Thanks for helping me out.
