Adding a redundant SUP2T to a 6509E chassis

I'm adding a second redundant sup (VS-SUP2T-10GE) to a WS-C6509-E chassis with an IPSERVICESK9 build. Currently there is only one sup installed. How do I go about this? Can I add the 2nd sup and will have no effect on current operation? Can I then console into and upload the correct ios and configure for redundancy?

The sup is hot swap-able, so you can insert it into the redundant slot without turning off the switch, but I would still do it in a maintenance window just in case something goes wrong.  Once booted, you can load the same IOS as the other sup.  Also in order for the sup redundancy /SSO to work correctly make sure you have the same exact license and IOS image on both sups.
