Hi guys,
I have a question on the AES password encryption for local user account in Nexus 5000.
Basically, I have Nexus 5672UP, and I want to configure the password encryption for local user account to AES. However, I can't configure it. I am able to configure in Nexus 3000.
Anyone can help?

Hi,
How about:
username admin password 5 (Indicates that the password that follows should be encrypted) and than type the password.
example:
username admin password 5 <password> role network-admin

Hi Reza,
Thank you for your reply. I am able to config using the command that you provide.
However, how can I verify the password is encrypted to AES encryption?
Any command to issue to show the changes?

Hi,
If the password is configured on the switch as encrypted, you can probably turn on debugging on the ACS server and should be able to see the password as encrypted.
Usually the local username and password configured on the switch is not the same as the one you use for ACS Authentication. For ACS, every individual should have their own username and password.
