Aggregate Etherchannel restrictions on ASR 920 Series

Hi all,

I found that on a ASR 1K series it's not possible to configure a service instance with qos on an aggregate etherchannel , but I don't know if the same limitation applies on a ASR 920 series. Can anyone tell me if it's supported? The configuration would look something like this:

interface port-channel 1
service instance trunk 1 ethernet
encapsulation dot1q 1 - 5, 7, 9 - 12
rewrite ingress tag pop 1 symmetric
bridge-domain from-encapsulation
service-policy input QoS_In
no shutdown

I found this documment but doesn't clarify my doubts:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/asr920/configuration/guide/ce/b_ce_xe-313s-asr920-book/b_ce_xe-313s-asr920-book_chapter_01.html#reference_770349446ED24E83821EF701DDC46BFD

Thanks,

Best regards.

José Manuel Garrido.

Hi José,

Did you try to configure it on the physical ports instead of the PO.

I think we had the same issue with the 3850, but with these switches you had to configure it on the physical ports.

David

Hi David,

No, I haven't tried the configuration because it's more a theoretical case than a problem itself, meaning that I'd like to know if this configuration is possible but I have no ASR 920 available to test it on. But just a Cisco documentation reference which stated if it's possible or not would be more than enough. Thanks,

Best regards,

José Manuel
