All the sudden fans are working louder than normal ( very, very loud)
I'm going to include the output of the command I used to check the switch:

Check your cooling system, and make sure the entire room, rack, or cabinet is getting enough cold air. It may be that one side of the system is not getting enough cool air.

There is an AC unit that is cooling down the switch

Make sure the fans or the fan tray are not being blocked by anything and are not dirty. Sometimes if the fans are very dirty, they have a hard time exhausting the hot air out, and that keeps the system warm.

Is not processing. If you were running into a loop or any starving cpu process, it should show with this command. Could be a hardware problem.
How about the uptime? Maybe a reload can sort things out.

We restarted that switch and didn't help.

Can you post below: Do you see any LED indications ?
show environment [ alarm | cooling | status | temperature ]

No, I don't see anything that indicates any issues

What IOS is the switch on?

Cisco IOS Software, Catalyst 4500 L3 Switch Software (cat4500e-ENTSERVICESK9-M), Version 15.1(2)SG5, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

For the 4500/4900M, the fan speed comes in two options: OFF or LOUD.
There is no settings or sensors to enable the fans to perform variable speed.

- Connect to the 4500 with : https://cway.cisco.com/cli , then at the top left , press or run System Diagnostics.
