Hello everybody I have seen and used at times the very nice feature of Catalyst 3512 of the command
#switchport multi vlan
In that way you configure a port to access wanted vlans and reduce the broadcast. Is there any other alternative in newer switches like Catalyst 3560 ???
Or is there any other equivalent solution. I want to put a server in two vlans. and the vlans not to communicate with each other.

You would configure the port as a trunk and then limit the vlans allowed on the trunk using the "switchport trunk allowed vlan

Can it have any impact on a file server connectet to the trunk interface?
Thank you
