I'm using a public  wifi, which requires a user ID/password, I already know switch IP and router IP, how would I know the AP and wireless LAN controller IP address?

Remote into the switch and look at the IP address of the AP by running the command "sh cdp neighbor det".

With the IP address of the AP, remote into the AP and run the command "sh log" and the controller IP address is usually there.  If not, look at the flash for a file called "event.log" and the IP address of the controller is always there.

our AP is not autonoumous, I try to SSH/telenet or open web browser and enter AP ip address, it says connection refused, so how to know the WLC IP?

I wasn't talking about autonomous APs.  So if the SSH & Telnet is disabled, then what happens if you go to the WLC CLI and enter the command "sh ap summary <AP name>"?

Hi, I can't access WLC, I need to know ip of the WLC

Did the AP get the IP address using DHCP Option 43?

yes

Ok, so if the AP got an IP address of the WLC using DHCP Option 43 then how about looking at the DHCP Option 43 scope?

I 'm not system admin, can't see DHCP option, any way to get WLC IP and lightweight AP IP?

Do you have physical access to the AP?  If you do, console into the AP and reboot the AP.  Watch the boot-up process.

Otherwise, look at the flash for a file called "event.log" and the IP address of the controller is always there.

so lightweight AP can't be accessed through web or SSH other than console in? is it confirmed?

Lightweight AP can't be access using HTTP/HTTPS.  Telnet & SSH is disabled by default.

So the only way is via console.
