Studying for my CCNA and I'm confused why VRRP connot be identified by the Cisco APIC-EM Path Trace Tool however HSRP can be. I was under the impression that VRRP and HSRP are both FHRP's, could someone shine some light on this subject please. Thanks.

Hi Stephen,
I suggest you ask this question here:
https://communities.cisco.com/community/developer/apic-em
One of the engineers working on the software, Adam Radford frequents the board and can give some great insights into it, especially on compatability and future support/ releases.
cheers,
Seb.

Hello Stephen,
What APIC-EM identify actually is ECMP which stand for Equal Cost Multi Path. The reason you may see HSRP and not VRRP is that HSRP is actually Cisco proprietary whilst VRRP is IEEE standard.
At the end you probably will see both.
