Good Morning!
I am trying to apply a switch template. I have the template setup and attached to a network. When I claim and add a switch to that network shouldn't it automatically apply the template? If so, mine isn't doing that. Thoughts?
Thanks
Ed

Switch with MAC 61:00 is not bound to your Switch template.
Switch with MAC 5F:80 is bound to the Switch template.
Switch templates are nested under the Network template. You must bind the Network to the template and also then bind Switches to the Switch template.
And there is an auto-bind feature for binding Switches by model to applicable Switch model templates within a Network template. It requires a specific workflow of creating a Network, add Switch(es), bind Network to the Network template and select the auto-bind target devices option.

""Binding the Network: This binds the entire network, which includes all devices in that network, to a template. This can indirectly apply switch configurations to those switches, but it’s not the same as explicitly binding each switch to a switch template. The switch will inherit network-level configurations, but switch-specific settings may not apply unless the switch is bound directly to the switch template.
Binding Switches to the Template: This directly applies only the switch-specific configurations to those switches. If switches aren't bound here, they won't receive specific configurations defined in the switch template, even if the network is bound.
When you bind a network, you're setting general configurations for the entire network. But if you want specific switch settings to take effect, you'll also need to bind the switches to the switch template directly.""

Thanks for the quick response.
I understand that the template gives a basic configuration for the switch and then to tweak specific setting changes but the switch isn't even getting that basic set of settings.
Ok wait I just noticed this....If I go to the Switches page the graphic shows the ports as not being configured BUT if I go to the Switchports page the ports are configured. 🤔
