Are these commands auto generated

I am in the process of migrating an old core to new core. Are these commands for the wrr queues auto generated on the switchports as the new switch will not except them

Hello,

These commands may or may not be auto generated. The reason why they are not accepted, though, is that these commands referred to the Weighted Round Robin which was an older queueing mechanism on Catalyst switches such as 2950 or 3550. If you are migrating to new Catalyst switches then their QoS CLI is different, as these Catalysts could utilize a more sophisticated mechanism, such as Shaped/Shared Round Robin, or SRR (present on new 2K and 3K Catalysts; 4K and 6K Catalysts have yet another QoS mechanisms). I am afraid that these WRR commands can not be directly rewritten into their SRR counterparts to provide equivalent results.

What type of devices are you using in the new core?

I am upgrading a 6500 to a 6800 vss core.

I take it connectivity will still be established for voice and data without configuring the queues?

Oh, I see. In the case of 6K devices, the queueing method is strongly dependent on the line card as far as I know.

The connectivity will still be established, that is for sure. However, the quality of voice may be impaired - it is hard to tell just off the table. Only testing will show for sure.
