Hi all
If I have 2 switches running hsrp, if I connect to the standby one and ping a device, how come the arp entry isnt on it yet the ping works?

When you ping from HSRP router, it uses the actual IP as the source. Not the HSRP Virtual IP

Yes, I agree, however how come there was no arp entry for the connection ?

Could you elaborate for which IP Address ARP is missing?
