Ask for a problem with C3850

I think C3850 Switch in my customer site seems to have some problems..

The major symptoms are following as :

- I can see some physical interfaces on the configuration as following.

  interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1
 no switchport
 no ip address
 speed 1000
 duplex full
!
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1
 shutdown
!
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1
!
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/2
 no switchport
 no ip address
!
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/3
 no switchport
 no ip address
!
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/3
 no switchport
 no ip address
 shutdown
!
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/3
 no switchport
 no ip address
!
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/3
 no switchport
 no ip address
!

- Ping test between interfaces that connected directly and configured in Layer3 interface is not able to be a success. 

- Occasionally, It's not able to input command "ip address [ip address]" after command "no switchport" on an interface in order to make Layer 3.

Hi,

Try the global command:

Switch(config)#ip routing

Then configure the port in Layer 3 mode.

If the original poster would post the output of show ip interface brief from the switch and then post the output of attempts to ping and post output of ipconfig from the PC that is doing the ping then perhaps we might be able to determine what is the problem.
