Backup VLAN

Hi Experts,

We have two LAN networks. One for internal server and one for DMZ servers.We need to create  backup VLAN, could you please recommend if there is a best practices, moreover should we create two backup VLAN -one for internal servers and one for DMZ or only one Backup VLAN would be sufficient for both networks.

Hi,

I am not sure exactly what you mean by "backup vlan" but if mean you want to have extra vlan and IP reserved for future use, you should do it for both DMZ and internal.

We need to take backup of all servers in DMZ and in internal network. Is it a good idea to create two separate VLAN for backup network or one VLAN should be sufficient enough.

when you said "backup VLAN" you mean having a copy of your internal and DMZ servers backed up, should in case you lost your interner and DMZ servers file, on that vlan? was that your question?
