I have one H.O connected to 50 branches thru ISP using MPLS-VPN under one VRF
I did a design will all sites once need to reach internet send packet to H.O so it can re-route that traffic to the internet
but how can I add default to all sites , if I add BGP default-information originate between CE-PE ( using redistribution )
will be impact all sites and bgp under same VRF
 so I can see default for all sites pointed to H.O ,
what do u think about my IDEA , as there is no huge internet traffic and will save many cost for customer

@mautez_mah ,

You can use the default originate on the HO CE. The PE will receive the default route and propagate it to the remote PEs, which will in turn advertise it to their attached CEs.

Hi @mautez_mah ,

This will certainly work and it is common practice. Just make sure that you advertise the default route in the proper VRF at the HO.

@Harold Ritter
Thanks , so all I need just to add advertize default between CE and PE and and add command default inform origin under BGP VRF in PE
so as long as I add new sites all default will pointed to H.O right >
is it good design

I check this design I found it in many Cisco article but
using DIA with MPLS is good for branch since the branch will send only specific traffic to DC and other "internet" go directly from the Branch.
this reduce the CPU & BW need in DC to handle all branch site internet traffic.

@MHM Cisco World
could you please explain more ,
DIA for internet in each branch will need more cost , redundancy ,
specifically if site is small
