On my local network I have a Linux server provide DHCP services. Recently I had issues with fake DHCP offering from some PCs (either infected by virus or unauthorized DHCP services running). Is anyway I can block all DHCP offering responding and only allow the real one?
Or, beacuse my DHCP server attached to a certain port, can I force DHCP request to that port rather than broadcast ?
Thanks

Rico,
Do you have a Cisco switch that your Linux server connects to? If so, you can enable dhcp snooping and trust the port that your Linux server is connected to.
