We recently ordered 3 x Cisco 3560 Switches. The main reason we bought these switches was to do some MSTP
interworking between our own Layer 2 equipment and these Cisco switches.
However, the Cisco switches do not follow the BPDU format described in
802.1s (MSTP). Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve this.

what version of IOS are you running?
ciscos implementation of MST with IOS 12.2(25)SEC is based on the ieee 802.1s standard.
cisco implementations of MST on previous IOS versions are 'prestandard'.
perhaps you should consider upgrading your IOS to 12.2(25)SEC or higher.
