Hi,
I am sorry if I'm posting a silly question in such a big forum...
Can someone please let me know / correct my procedure to install and bring UP a new switch into the network ???
1. Baremetal switch - Power ON and connect to console via Putty or any other way..
2. Cisco Switches will have their FLASH empty when they are fresh out of the factory.. Load IOS.
3. Reboot the switch which will initiate setup wizard.
4. Give the IP address for the switch
5. Change the Switch's VTP mode as Trasparent and domain settings
6. COntinue to configure the switch for other custom settings.
Thanks,
Bala..

Uhhhh ... No.
A bit stupid, for a company like Cisco, to sell an appliance without an OS.

This would work but I would not use the wizard. Everything by command line.

Vlan 20 name servers
Vlan 30 name management

And so then you just assign the interfaces you need to the vlan you want to work with.
I believe that a
