Hello,
What about speed negotiation? Is it Auto or Full? Did you try to force it to 1G ?

HI Flavio,
The port was set to Auto. Customer wasnt comfortable in setting one port in manual and other in auto.
Also i would like to know if earlier generation servers are detecting it as 1G and not the new generation, does it have anything to do with switch firmware. Do we need to update the switch firmware to support the new generation network chipsets.

Hello,
I think 1.4.8.06 is the latest firmware, make sure you upgrade to that latest version (page 38 of the attached user guide).
Also, there are numerous options to configure the ports (page 125 in the user guide). Try and change some of the default settings, there might be something the Broadcom doesn't like...

Hi All,
The issue came out to be with faulty network cable. When we ran the diagnostics on the port, there was an event with a term "SHORT", so we asked customer to change the cable as we suspected it might be the cable which is getting shorted. So oncec we change the cable the issue got resolved and the port started to show as 1G in Switch.
Thanks for all the help.
