C2960L SM (Smart Managed!) - cant change console password

Dear all

i have been reschooling for a year in Network Basics, and i have the chance to build our Labo network now.

long story short, i could get some 2960L Catalyst which were immediately available (time..) and a 9200 (i need to go from UTP to fiber & back in the patching)

anyway, i was very disturbed because no global config in this model (cisco should put that in capitals on first line of datasheet!)

Meanwhile, i found out of to configure the http interface, so that's ok

However, i deleted the standard user/pass (smartm / c2960lsm) but i am still able to login via console (USB/micro USB) with the old enable password...i have been looking through all the manuals i could find but i don't see any option to change this enable password

anybody knows how to change this?

Best regards

Smart managed switches have "reduced" CLI command.

Some parameters seems to be "not modifiable" using CLI or WEB accès, but are present in configuration file.

In section :

line con 0
password c2960lsm

You could change password using a text editor in a "backup" configuration file and reload modified file as startup-config.

if the default console password cant b echanged and stays forever "c2960lsm", that would qualify as a security risk, would it not?
