Your switch stack can support IOS version 12.2(55)SE7.
Stay with this version as it's one of THE MOST STABLE version.

Your IOS, version 12.2(35)SE5, is very, very, very old. I have no idea how many security vulnerabilities have been discovered with this version alone.
I'm saying that 12.2(55)SE7 is a very STABLE version and I also highly recommend this version.

Though does the poster not have a problem with the recommended version if using the tar file since it is over 16 megs in size and the flash size on the 3750 is 16 megs???

The IOS version 12.2(55)SE7 is supported in 3560/3750 with only 16 mb of flash space.

Make sure you download the c3750-ipserviceslmk9 version instead of c3750-ipservicesk9, as the lmk version will fi on to 16M flash, also i see you are going from ip base to ip services so in the
Archive command you must allow feature upgrade eg:
archive download-sw /overwrite /allow-feature-upgrade ....file path /c3750-ipserviceslmk9-tar.122-55.SE7.tar

Thanks for Reply..
I have 16 MB ram and IOS image "c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE7" is of 12.5 MB.so while upgrading i can remove existing IOS image and put this.
can you guys suggest me if this doesn't possible or any other concern? Being production Switch i just want to reconfirm all points.
On other note,as this is satcked switch do we need to upgrade to all switches?
Thanks,
Prashant

With the maintanance window you have to remove the existing IOS and can put the new in all the switches in stack.IOS must be same in all the switches in stack.

Firstly, before you begin the upgrade, you need to ensure that your TAR file isn't corrupt. The most efficient way is to compare the MD5 hash of the file against the MD5 hash from the Cisco website.
To upgrade the IOS and remove the old IOS, use the automated command: archive download-sw /over tftp://

Ah this is interesting, the tar file for 12.2 55(SE7) is 12 megs for the 3750 and the 12.2 55(SE7) for the 3750G is 16 megs. 3750 having 16 meg flash and the 3750G having a 32 meg flash. The appender has two 3750's and one 3750G so they have to use the 12 meg express tar file. Will this have an adverse effect to the 3750G ?? I find this ineresting because I have a stack with the 3750 as master and a 3750G as a member and I am running the 12.2 - 35 flash on my stack. I was going to add a 3750X to my stack but seeing how I have same flash issue I am going to remove the 3750 so the 3750G becomes the master, update the flash and add the 3750X so I have the 3750G master and the 3750X as a member.
Thanks.

Not all Catalyst 3750 and 3560 switches can run this release. The models listed below are not supported in Cisco IOS Release 12.2(58)SE1 and later. For ongoing maintenance rebuilds for these models, use Cisco IOS Release 12.2(55)SE and later (SE1, SE2, and so on).
