C3850-48X stackwise virtual device replacement - verification?

Hi Guys,

I have pair of C3850-48X switches in stackwise virtual stack and now node 2 is dead and need to be replaced with new one. I think I have correct steps for bringing new node into stack but just want to verify these before do it on production site.

So first thing is to put same software level and license into replacement device than the current switch 1 has. Then I was planning to follow below steps for node 2 configuration.

conf t

stackwise-virtual

  domain 1

interface te1/0/1

  stackwise-virtual link 1

interface te1/0/48

  stackwise-virtual link 1

interface te1/0/47

  stackwise-virtual dual-active-detection

wr mem

reload

immediately after reload command I will connect cables to node 2 (ports 1, 48 and 47) so that it can join the virtual stack.

In my opinion this should work for bringing node back into virtual stack but just want to verify if I am missing something here?

Br,

Mika

HI
That looks fine , you could also shut the ports down too on working side have the cables connected too and just bring them up when ready to form the logical unit
