I can't get a SFP-10G-SR-S module to work in port te1/1/4 on any switch. If I put it in port te1/1/3 I can see that in the inventory on the switch. For some reason port 4 is not working. Has anyone else seen this happen. I have it working in other switches on port 4 but I have a few switches I can't get port 4 to work. I have tried multiple switches and multiple GBIC's but the same happens on specific switches.

Read the Release Notes of the firmware you're using. I have read some weird stuff with the NM for the 3850. They should be found in the Open Caveats section.

Did you try a 1gb if thats not working either I would ask TAC or your supplier to RMA the module ,your in the correct ports for the 10gbs, you could also try reseat the actual mod but sounds like you have a dead port

It is in production so I will have to schedule any downtime. Thanks!

It turns out on the 3850's if the port is in err-disable it won't even see a GBIC that is inserted. If you shut and no shut the port then it will see the GBIC when it is inserted. Thanks for your help. I did go through the open caveats to figure it out.
