C4500E-LB-IPB? What do I gain?

Hi,

I was just doing some configuration through dynamic configurator, and I found this part for 7E SUP.

I cannot find any compare of what do you have without and with license upgrade, so if someone can shed some light.

Hi Mile,

You will need IPBase if you are thinking about running dual sup7e in a chassis. Also it has some basic routing feature that lan-base does not have.

I just ran through configurator, I can have redundant SUPs with LAN Base image. Are you sure that redundant SUPs need IPBase?

You are correct we do support dual sup with LAN BASE but its only RPR MODE. IP BASE supports SSO mode.
