Hi, after reloading a Catalyst 6009, MSFC2 boots in ROMmon. I've tried to boot the image from rommon but i receive the following message:
"Environment checksum in NVRAM failed.
Bus Error exception"
What does it mean?
What can i do?
does it look a hardware or software error?
Thanks

I've tried to reset the BOOT and BOOTLDR variables from rommon:
>BOOT=
>BOOTLDR=
>confreg 0x0
>sync
Then it warns "Environment checksum in NVRAM failed"
>reset
The MSFC restart with the error:
"ROMMon NVRAM area is corrupted. Initialize the area to default values"
I think it looks a hardware error, true?
or can i format nvram, or copy the ios image or something like that?

Hi,
This could be a hardware issue. I tracked a few cases and it all led to the replacement of the SUP/MSFC. However,
you can use " priv " command in the rommon mode to enter the "priviledge" mode and you should be able to delete the
the whole NVRAM config/files. Once done try booting it again and see if it can load with the image.

In the MSFC2 rommon priv mode i don't have option to delete or format NVRAM.
Which command can i use?
