Hi everyone,
We have several C9200L-48P-4X units that are experiencing excessive noise caused by an abnormal fan speed in the PS1.
The onboard release is version 17.12.04 Dublin.
We have performed several tests and can rule out:
Excessive ambient heat
Dust in the power supplies.
The problem doesn't depends on power supply
The malfunction does not occur immediately but after some time (about a few months)
Has anyone already had a similar experience to mine?
What could we do to solve the problem?
Is there a bug inside the IOS ?
Thank
Fabrizio M.

- @marzi I would certainly advice an IOS upgrade to the latest advisory release ,

Hi marce1000
Thanks for your replay
I 've read the CSCvk03823 contenent and maybe the same workaround valid for C3650-48FQM-S and 3650-24PD switches will be valid for C9200L-48P-4X units, anyway, for us, the reload command is not an option.
Do you think that an IOS upgrade could be fix definitely the problem ?
Thanks again

Hi marzi
We have the same problem too C9200L-48PXG-E Version 17.12.04
Our analysis shows:
The fan in the affected power supply is constantly turning with more than 20'000 rpm while the fan on the other power supply is turning with only 5'000 rpm. This is causing high noise pollution.
There ist a problem with the FAN's from LiteOn so we start an RMA.
