I am utilizing a GLC-GE-100FX-C SFP on the switch I am working on. The switch display that the SFP and multimode fiber are connected however i can't see any uplink light on the face of the switch or ping the device in question. see example for clarification.

EX1 Port configuration:

EX2 Show int status:

What firmware is the switch on? 

Has anyone tried to reboot the switch?

yes multiple times. so the weird thing is that out of the 24 gigabit port only 3  link light came on even though all of them said changed to up state. Firmware is 17.07.01

17.7.X is a single-release firmware version. 

Try using a different version, preferably one with maintenance releases, such as 17.3.X, 17.6.X, 17.9.X.

I'd recommend 17.6.4.
