C9300 BIN File Missing in Flash after copy

KrisFLIP

I am performing an IOS upgrade.  I was able to copy the BIN file from USBFLASH but when I go to the switch FLASH, the BIN is not there, therefore I am not able to perform IOS upgrade.  Copy to FLASH completed with no errors.  Current version is 16.06.06 upgrading to 16.09.04.  C9300 is in INSTALL mode.  Any help is good.  Thanks!

My guess is correct.

delete the Y file from flash:

delete flash:Y

Once deleted check dir flash: ( you should not see the Y file with lasrge size)

do again copy

copy usbflash0:cat9k_iosxe.16.09.04.SPA.bin flash:

this time Keep Press "Enter" Key  rather press "Y"

Follow @Reza Sharifi  provided guide for upgrade. you should be good.

Maybe you copied it in a different area of flash. Try "dir" and that should show you the bin file. Also, see this document for upgrading the IOS in install mode. Start in install mode section:

Thanks for sharing the link, Reza.

I used the command to copy the files to flash

copy usbflash0:cat9k_iosxe.16.09.04.SPA.bin flash:

Switch returned the result below after the copy

705009898 bytes copied in 111.602 secs (6317180 bytes/sec)

When I do a dir flash: or dir I still don't see the BIN file.

When you issue the command below :

copy usbflash0:cat9k_iosxe.16.09.04.SPA.bin flash:

it will ask you destination as same file name (most people enter Y here, so the file copy as Y)

Can you post dir flash: (out put here )
