Is there a difference between this IOS-XE version SC9300UK9-176 vs. this version S9300UK9-176?

I agree with you. I don't think that "C" makes a real difference. Also, sometimes the third-party vendors have their own part numbers for invoices. As long as you have the right switch with the right license, it is all good.

Hi,
Those don't look like IOS-EX part numbers. They usually look like this
cat9k_iosxe.17.06.06.SPA.bin

That's what I thought as well, however, when the reseller sent us the Bill of Materials, this line item " SC9300UK9-176" was listed indicating that the IOS-XE would be included along with the sw release version. So, when we received the switches, the packing list showed this item " S9300UK9-176" indicating the sw release version. I am leaning towards the thought that these two items are the same and the "C" in the string is to indicate the switch model "Catalyst". Would you agree?
