I have used the IOS ping command for years. Very useful.  A question though - can it be configured to send one ping per second? I can specify how many pings to send and the timeout, but i cant see where to set a delay between each ping. It sends as fast as it can.

Perhaps delay can be influenced when using the Timeout option.

Unfortunately not. Timeout just affects how long to wait for a reply. It doesnt affect the rate at which pings are sent

      - You are probably right, I was assuming that timeout might then affect the sending rate too.
