c9300 unsupported transceiver

Hi Has anyone used 3rd party optics in a Catalyst 9300 Series Switches, running Cisco IOS XE Everest?

Does the  "service unsupported-transceiver" still work in this platform and software?

I am not going to risk using 3rd party optics on this model yet. 

The IOS is still not mature to attempt a stunt like this.
