Hi,
i got 2 brand new Cisco C9500-48Y4C, sw level 17.3.4 with essential license.
Question 1 : is it true that I need advantage license to use them in stackwise ?
Question 2 : I tried to set them as separate devices but I cannot define HSRP or VRRP to overcome the problem in question 1
Is it true that this model / sw is not supporting layer3 redundancy protocols like HSRP or VRRP ?
Thanks for your support.
Nicola.

Hi,
See table-16 in this link.
You need "Network Advantage" license for both "StackWise Virtual and HSRP".

Is it true that this model / sw is not supporting layer3 redundancy protocols like HSRP or VRRP ? - HSRP is supported an advantage license is required

Thank you both Reza and Paul,
very helpful information.
I've found out that VRRPv3 is supported so i set the 2 C9500 in standalone (no stackwise) with VRRP redundancy.
VRRP setup is described in the documentation at this link (for Ios 16.6 but valid also for the 17.3.4 I have) :
