C9500 SWV: Benefits of configuring multiple Dual-Active Detection (DAD) links?

The C9500 High Availability guide for recent versions of IOS-XE state that multiple ports in each switch of the SWV pair can be configured as DAD links.  Besides the obvious physical redundancy benefits, is there any other advantage to configuring multiple DAD links?

That is really the only advantage just in case one port goes down, you have a second one.

Hi,

The DAD could be very important to prevent dual-active situation during ALL SVLs down.

When ALL of your SVLs are down, and there is no existence of DAD. Both switches will run separately, and your MECs might turn into Error Disable due to STP Mis-configuration guard.

But, as long as there is at least 1 SVL is running, then DAD is not quite critical at all, even it's down.

So, depends on the likelihood that ALL of your SVLs come down, you choose the number of DAD.

IMO, if you have configured at least 2 cables for SVLs, then you don't actually need multiple links for DAD.

Because the chance that all 3 cables go down at the same time is quite rare..right?
