Hi all,
I am not sure why I can no longer access the SF302-08 switch using an IP address to access web management. The switch is used as a public switch and I have firewall, video conferencing unit, guest router, security camera plug into each port. It was last year when I can log in with the IP address. I can still ping it but just can't log into the web portal. Tonight, I set up a laptop and put the NIC on the same subnet as the switch but still can't log in. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi,
Have you tried with "HTTP" and "HTTPS" both? Can you access the switch through SSH/Telnet?

Yes I have tried both http and https and also have a favorite link to it and get this error:
The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
Both SSL and Telnet rendered "connection refused"
I have not attempt to restart the switch but I have to schedule an after hour task for it.

If you are no longer able to access the switch using an IP address that used to work, then it suggests that either a change was made on the switch or that there is some issue with the switch. If you do not have access using the network IP address do you have access via the console port? If there is access via the console port then there may be some troubleshooting that you can do. Otherwise you may need to schedule a reboot of the switch and hope that it restores management connectivity.

Okay I will schedule a restart and hope this help. I have access to the console cable. The switch was new and was installed only last about 6 months ago.
Its been a while I even look at command lines. Can you give me some basic commands to start with when I get the console cable setup?
Thanks

I found this in a Cisco document
When the switch is using the factory default IP address, the System LED flashes continuously. When the switch is using a DHCP server-assigned IP address or an administrator has configured a static IP address, the System LED is on solid (DHCP is enabled by default).
Can you tell us whether the System LED is blinking or is solid?
