Can only reach certain IPs.

So  - I am pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I have a Dell install team here telling me this is an issue with my router.  I am pretty sure it is not, but I am going to thow it out there anyway -

I have 4 subnets. 192.168.2.0, 192.168.100.0, 192.168.101.0 and 10.0.2.0.

I can ping anything between 192.168.2.0 and 10.0.2.0.  However, I can only ping certain IP addresses on the 192.168.100.0 and 192.168.101.0.

The setup is as follows. 1 2851 router. 2 ethernet ports.

Port 0/0 is sub-interfaced for the 192.168.2.0, 192.168.100.0 and 192.168.101.0 subnet.

Port0/1 is sub-interfaced for the 10.0.2.0 subnet.

2851 is connected to a 4507 switch, all vlans are on that switch. There are 2 3560 switches off the 4507, all vlans are on those switches as well.

I then have 2 cables connected to 2 Del 8024 switches from one of the 3560s, with ESX servers behind those.  The ESX servers are on the 192.168.100.0 and 192.168.101.0 subnets. Each ESX server has several NICs.

My problem is I can ping some of the NIC's, but not  others.

Routing is obviously working since I can reach some of the IPs. on those boxes, but some I can't.  Is there are reason this should be happening, from a Cisco perspective?

Like I said - I am pretty sure that since I can reach some of the IPs on the 192.168.100.0 and some on the 192.168.101.0, that my routing is ok.  For example.  ESX1 server has the following:

192.168.100.230 - I can ping this.

192.168.101.229 - I can't ping this.

ESX2 has:

192.168.100.228 - I can't ping this.

192.168.101.227 - I can't ping this.

ESX3 has:

192.168.100.226 - I can ping this.

192.168.101.225 - I can ping this.

Someone please tell me that I am not crazy. Thanks.

It sounds like to me you have an issue with VMWare somewhere...It doesn't sound like a routing issue.

Check that switch ports are assigned to the correct VLANs, check that subnets include the IPs that you can't reach, check for access-lists that might be blocking traffic.
