Hello Everyone, I am very experienced in networking, hoping I'm missing something stupid - but I can't seem to figure this one out. Really appreciate anyone taking the time to read through this.
I have a 3560 I'm using as my core -- I have two VLANs 1 (Default) - 3 (WAN) - Modem is plugged into fa0/13 Port Config
interface FastEthernet0/13
switchport access vlan 3
switchport mode access
interface FastEthernet0/24
description Downlink Cisco 3550
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport mode trunk
no spanning-tree vlan 3
Trunk port leads to another cisco switch, 3550 Port Config
interface FastEthernet0/24
description Uplink 3560
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport mode trunk
interface FastEthernet0/13
description WAN VMWARE
switchport access vlan 3
switchport mode access
end
All i'm trying to do is get DHCP on my WAN VMware but I can't seem to pick anything up unless i connect directly from my modem (I need to avoid this as I only have one cable run). I can see the mac address present in both switches
