You can stack any of the various 3750 model series together.
There are conditions to doing so, and "gotchas". For example, stacked member unit IOS software has to support, I recall, the same major stack version. The easiest way to insure that, have the same IOS version on all the stack members.
Some of the "gotchas" include, the 3750G-12S supports SDM templates unique to its model only (i.e. you need to insure it runs "common" SDM templates if being used with other than similar models), StackWisePlus loses many of its Plus features when stacked with StackWise units (such as will happen stacking a 3750G with a 3750X), if stack master has a feature set not installed on other stack members, failure of the stack master will cause the stack to "lose" active features.
BTW, mixed stacks are also a pain to upgrade.
