We have a WS-X6824-SFP-2T card that we need to use temporarily in a 6500 that still has a Sup720. Can I swap the DFC for a CFC and make it work?
I'm guessing I can because you can upgrade a 6724 with a DFC4-A, but was hoping someone has done this before and could confirm.

Hello Chris,
The 6824-SFP-2T is only supported with SUP2T.
Supervisor engine: Compatible with Supervisor Engine 2T and Supervisor Engine 2TXL

That's what I was afraid of. Before I posted the question I had found some other pages that weren't as clear about supported supervisors.
Thanks for the quick answer.
