Hello

I have a cisco MSFC with vlan201 (10.5.50.7) & vlan202 10.100.5.1. When I telnet from the switch to an ip

10.1.1.200 135 /source vlan 202 everything works fine. When I change the vlan to 201 and keep the rest of the command the same it doesn't want to connect. All other ports for vlan 201 (like 389, 25 etc) works perfect.

I have enabled tcp debugging on the switch and found the following response as soon as I try and telnet to 10.1.1.200 135

SAN-MSFC-15#

Aug 3 08:12:55: tcp1: O CLOSED 10.1.1.200:135 10.5.50.7:64513 seq 543128771

OPTS 4 SYN WIN 4128

Aug 3 08:12:55: TCP1: state was CLOSED -> SYNSENT [64513 -> 10.1.1.200(135)]

Does this mean the router is closing the session or the server(10.1.1.200)?

Thanks

wvw

It seems that server is closing the connection. But that does not constitute a problem. Maybe there is no service on that port.
