What do you mean by cascade between switches? 

If you mean to say you are adding another switch hanging of of existing one, then it would be better to use trunked port.....unless all you have on two switches is the default vlan.

Yes, i only have 1 vlan.

would it works if i connect both switches with that configuration on that particular port?

I dont like the idea of cascade the switches, you could connect the 2950 to the Core directly, now if it is mandatory for any reason I recommend to configure the ports as Trunks instead Access, also don't use this command spanning-tree bpdufilter enable.

It should work fine.
