Cat Os-Cisco IOS conversion

Hi

is it possible to convert the cat 4506 switch from cat os to cisco ios..

i have seen some docementation wherein it says cat os-cisco ios conversion is not possible for 4500..sup 1&2 only supports cat os wherein other sup engines supports only cisco ios...so for this conversion only option is the change in hardware (Sup engine)

can anyone please confirm the same and provide me necessary documentation supporting the same..

Hi,

Sup 1&2 use Catos only.  All the once after 2 support Native IOS.

Table-1 in this link shows sup-2 is Catos only.
