Problem with RSPAN

Hi!

I have a problem with RSPAN. I have 2 CAT6500. I need to monitor ports on both 6500. The destinations are in both 6500 too. I configure the following monitor session on both 65000.

monitor session 1 source interface Gi6/28 - 31 , Gi6/34 - 35 , Gi6/37 - 39

monitor session 1 destination remote vlan 999

monitor session 2 destination interface Gi6/45

monitor session 2 destination interface Gi9/29

monitor session 2 destination interface Gi10/12

monitor session 2 source remote vlan 999

VLAN 999 is a remote span VLAN, so the traffic is sending to local ports and to the neighbor 6500.

The traffic is RTP. We use the SPAN to record VoIP calls.

When I reproduce the VoIP call, we detected lost of RTP traffic. The real call didn't have a problem, so i Guess that is a RSPAN problem.

I see 2 documents. One use the showed configuration. The other document said that this configuration didn't work.

+ Using RSPAN with VACLs for Granular Traffic Analysis

+ Catalyst Switched Port Analyzer (SPAN) Configuration Example (See the section Can a RSPAN Source Session and the Destination Session Exist on the Same Catalyst Switch? Page 37)

Which one is true?

Best regards!

Hello,

Do you know what marking that traffic has?

I am not convinced this is a config issue or it would not work at all. It appears to be a qos related type issue.
