Hello Jon,

I did an extensive search and could not find any reference to the 2950 or 2970 supporting GVRP. It appears that only the Supervisor-based switches (4000/5000/6000) support it...

Cisco only supports GVRP on COS, not on IOS. Perhaps this will change in the future, but to date this is the limitation.

Since the 2950/2970 series in question is an IOS only switch, there is no GVRP available. Switches such as the 4000/5000/6000 that can run COS/hybrid mode do support GVRP. These same switches, when running IOS, would not support GVRP.
