Hi there,

Yes the 3850 has 'bulit-in' stacking. It will come with bothe the stackwise and stackpower cables.

You can deply a stack of switches without using the stackpower cables, but in the scenario where your switches only have a single PSU and one of them suffers a failure, you will lose that switch from the stack and your stack-ring bandwidth will be halfed.

cheers,

Seb.

Hi Ahmad,

You would need to have a stack cable (Cisco StackWise-480 stacking cable spare) to be able to stack the 3850 switches. The stack power cables are for a feature called stack power for power redundancy. They do not have anything to do with stack cables. Also see the data sheet below for details on the part number for the stack cables.

thanks, but i dont think its coming all in one box, you have to buy the stack cable seperatly.

R, Ahmad

Please check if the 50cm stack cable can be chosen without any cost, while you place the order.

Roopa

I just checked at CCW and now the Stack cable 50m (STACK-T1-50CM) and CAB-SPWR-30CM  have  price.

Is it correct?
