Cat6500 VSS configuration without FWSM

Forgive me if this question is stupid, i would like to know if it is possible to configure VSS for two Cat6500 switches without FWSM ?

Yes you can our 6500s VSS don't have a fwsm but I have seen them in VSS configured and sometimes there but not even used
