Catalyst 3650 firmware upgrade

Hello,

Can I upgrade the firmware of a Catalyst 3650 48RS-S From Denali 16.3.7 to Gibraltar 16.12.8 in Bundle mode? It seems that the release notes that Cisco provides only have the steps to upgrade between these two versions in install mode only. I was wondering if this means that upgrade in bundle mode is not supported.

Moving forward Install mode is recommended than bundle mode.

(that does not mean bundle mode not work it will work, just copy bin file and change the boot config)

Ensure you have copied the .bin to EVERY switch in the stack!

After you have loaded the Cisco IOS in file, all you need to do is change the boot statement and reload.

Syntax: configure terminal

no boot system

boot system bootflash:< bin file name>

end

write

reload
