Catalyst 3750 12.2(58) SE2 Spanning Tree

This weekend we upgraded 2 key 3750s from 12.2(35) etc to 12.2(58) SE2 to resolve a multicast issue.

We've suddenly been flooded with thousands of alerts across the whole switch infrastructure (upgraded and not)

Message=<188>635: Oct 17 15:38:39.778 UTC: %SW_MATM-4-MACFLAP_NOTIF: Host 0022.abcd.abcd in vlan 105 is flapping between port Gi1/0/52 and port Gi2/0/49

Is there a possibility that the latest release has some issue with RSTP; ie leaking down the blocked ports?

Hi Ian,

I don't think that is IOS specific - however can potentially can be some DDTS. I would not jump to conclusion without analyzing that. How did you finaly fix it? Broke some link? Did issue reoccured once you restored it?
