Hi there. I have been experiencing a weird problem and i'd like to get some help from you if possible.
I've got a VSS environment working with the IOS version SXI5. Some hosts which are connected to several VLANs in the VSS cluster with LACP, sometimes lose connectivity in all subnets when routing is required. For example it happens when we try to ping the host from a different subnet than the ones he currently is in, however pings work fine within the same VLANs. Within the same subnet, the ping works
This problem gets solved when that host pings its own gateway. Does anyone how does this happen and the cause of it?
Thanks

Hi Ricardo,
It sounds as you have a routing issue in your network. What protocol are you using to do the routing (Static, OSPF, ISIS.etc..)?
Does ping work fine when you ping different hosts in differnt subnet from the router or switch?

This is just inter VLAN routing. The Cisco has vlan interfaces for the vlans in question being one of them the gateway. I'm in a VLAN and the hosts are in 3 different vlans
Please notice that during failure, if i continuously ping the host, once i go to the host console, and make him ping his gateway, the problem gets solved and icmp replies start coming in again.
